Arsenal 'ready to offload Theo Walcott in January'

Arsenal are reportedly ready to offload long-serving forward Theo Walcott in January in order to raise funds for next summer.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to offload Theo Walcott in January in order to help raise funds for any transfer business next summer.

Walcott has again struggled to hold down a regular place in the Arsenal starting lineup so far this season, making just three appearances off the bench in the Premier League during the current campaign.

The 28-year-old has often been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium in recent years, but manager Arsene Wenger is now reportedly ready to part ways with the long-serving forward.

West Ham United are among the clubs to have been credited with an interest in the England international, while Southampton have also been linked with a move for their former youth product.

Arsenal are facing the prospect of losing the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere on free transfers next summer, forcing Wenger to consider options to increase his kitty before the end of the season.

Walcott joined Arsenal at the age of just 16 in 2006, going on to make 391 appearances for the club and scoring 107 goals.
