Arsenal have reportedly identified Porto defender Miguel Layun as a potential signing during the summer transfer window.
Layun has just spent half a season on loan at Sevilla - with two goals being scored in 16 appearances in La Liga - and as it stands, the Spanish outfit are expected to try to push through a permanent deal.
However, according to AS, Arsenal - as well as AC Milan and Marseille - are waiting in the wings if the Mexico international does not return to Sevilla.
Arsenal have already been active in the transfer market, with Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno having signed on the dotted line and the Gunners expected to announce the arrival of Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
Unai Emery remains in the hunt for new signings, however, and Layun would offer versatility on the flank, something which was on show when Mexico beat Germany at the World Cup last weekend.
