Arsenal are reportedly considering scuppering Tottenham Hotspur's plans to sign Roma forward Erik Lamela.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur target Erik Lamela.

It has been claimed that Roma representatives have met with Tottenham officials to discuss a potential £30m transfer for the forward.

However, reports in Italy have claimed that Tottenham's North London rivals have made enquiries into the availability of Lamela, according to The Metro.

Pressure on Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to spend is building due to the Frenchman's failure to land any of his big-name targets so far this summer.
