Chelsea are reportedly considering offering Michy Batshuayi as a makeweight in a deal for Monaco's Thomas Lemar.

Chelsea are reportedly considering offering striker Michy Batshuayi to Monaco as part of a deal to bring Thomas Lemar to Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old has started just two Premier League games for the Blues this season, with recent reports suggesting that he will be made available for a loan deal when the transfer window reopens next month.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte's side have entered the race for Lemar - a long-term target of rivals Arsenal - and are contemplating an £80m bid to bring him in as a partner for Alvaro Morata.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are mulling an offer to include Batshuayi as a makeweight in the transfer after the Ligue 1 side failed with an approach for his services over the summer.

The newspaper says that Monaco's new sporting director Michael Emenalo, who resigned as technical director at Chelsea last month, will be key to getting any deal done. Emenalo is a known fan of Batshuayi and was instrumental in bringing him to Stamford Bridge last year.

Batshuayi was among the substitutes on Tuesday night as his side ran out 3-1 winners at Huddersfield Town.
