Chelsea are reportedly ahead of Arsenal in the race to secure a deal for Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.

Chelsea reportedly remain as the frontrunners to secure a deal for Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.

The 23-year-old has spent the campaign on loan at Sevilla, making a total of 36 appearances in all competitions.

Despite Sevilla being keen to keep hold of the left-back on a permanent basis, there is strong interest from the Premier League.

According to AS, Chelsea have the edge over Arsenal for Reguilon's signature due to being able to offer Champions League football.

The report suggests that the player is available for a fee in the region of £22.5m, a figure which will be viewed as value for money in the current market.

Arsenal remain active in the race for Reguilon courtesy of agent Kia Joorabchian having a strong working relationship behind the scenes at the Emirates Stadium.
