Arsenal midfielder Denilson insists that he will be "annoyed" if does not see progress in talks for him to sign for Sao Paulo permanently in the near future.

Brazilian midfielder Denilson has admitted that he is desperate to sign for Sao Paulo and wants transfer talks to be concluded quickly.

The 24-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan in his native country from Arsenal.

Sao Paulo declared earlier this week that they were confident of making the move permanent, but Denilson has revealed that negotiations have been slow to progress.

He told UOL: "June is close now, if Sao Paulo come tomorrow and say that I'll stay, it will be an immense joy as I have always wanted to stay.

"If they leave the decision to a later point, I'll feel annoyed. I want to be calm, to solve everything so that I can work without any problems.

"I haven't had any direct talks with either Sao Paulo or Arsenal directors. I want to see out my contract with professionalism. I hope I can stay but I want them to solve this. June is far away, but at the same time it's so close. I want this to be done so I can focus on Sao Paulo and help my teammates."

Denilson played for the Gunners more than 150 times across five seasons before returning to his first club Sao Paulo.
