Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly keen to bring Villarreal attacker Yeremi Pino to the club.
The 18-year-old has scored eight times and registered four assists in 46 appearances for the Yellow Submarine since breaking into their first team last season.
Pino made his senior Spain debut against Italy in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday night, meanwhile, and a number of clubs, including Arsenal and Leicester City, are said to be tracking his progress.
However, according to Defensa Central, there is also genuine interest from Real Madrid, with the club's president Perez viewing the youngster as the ideal acquisition.
The report claims that there is a €30m (£25.5m) release clause in Pino's deal, but Perez is not prepared to meet that figure and will instead attempt to negotiate a lower fee with Villarreal.
Los Blancos trio Jesus Vallejo, Dani Ceballos and Mariano Diaz could allegedly be used as makeweights in a move for the Spaniard next year.
Pino has scored once and provided three assists in nine appearances for Unai Emery's side this term.
