The agent of Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins is reportedly working on securing the 23-year-old a move to the Premier League.
Martins, who currently in the process of rescinding his contract with his current employers, could leave on a free transfer should the process be completed.
According to Jornal de Noticias, Ulisses Santos is allegedly working behind the scenes to secure Martins a move, with Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal believed to be keen on the Portuguese international.
Arsenal are alleged to have had two bids turned down for the player, but the source adds that the Gunners will rekindle their interest if the offer of a free transfer remains an option.
Martins, who is part of Portugal's World Cup squad, scored eight goals in 31 appearances for Sporting last season.
