Everton will reportedly be offered the chance to re-sign John Stones from Manchester City this summer.
The 26-year-old made the switch to the Etihad in 2016 after turning out 95 times for Everton, but Stones has endured a turbulent campaign with City during the 2019-20 season.
Indeed, the Englishman has only turned out 12 times in the Premier League despite Aymeric Laporte's injury woes - with Fernandinho often preferred as a makeshift centre-back for Pep Guardiola.
As a result, Stones could supposedly be offloaded by the Citizens this summer, and according to Football Insider, a return to Everton is a possibility for the centre-back.
The report claims that Guardiola is planning a major defensive reshuffle ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, although City have conceded that they will not recoup anything close to the £47.5m they forked out for Stones four years ago.
Stones still has two years left to run on his current deal at the Etihad, and Arsenal and Newcastle United are both said to be monitoring the situation.
