Roma forward Justin Kluivert will reportedly not be joining Arsenal ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 21-year-old had allegedly been a part of negotiations between the Gunners and Roma over a permanent deal for Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, while Mkhitaryan is set to join the Italian side on a long-term basis following the extension of his loan, Kluivert was never a part of the conversation.
The Netherlands international has been in good form for his Serie A outfit during the 2019-20 season, scoring seven times in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Reports had claimed that Mikel Arteta was keen to boost his squad with the arrival of the versatile attacker, but Romano has insisted that neither club held talks over the Dutchman.
Kluivert has a contract at the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2023.
