Manchester City have reportedly made a second bid of £60m for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
It is understood that City failed with a £50m bid for the unsettled attacker on Tuesday afternoon.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the Citizens have made a second offer of £55m plus £5m in add-ons for the Chilean international, who is desperate to leave Arsenal this summer.
Sanchez is currently with the Chile squad preparing for their upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers, but it is understood that City boss Pep Guardiola is confident that a deal will be completed before the transfer window slams shut.
Sanchez, who scored 30 times for Arsenal during the 2016-17 campaign, had been linked with Bayern Munich earlier this summer, but the German champions dropped their interest.
City are also said to be confident of completing a deal for West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonny Evans.
