Matija Nastasic interests Arsenal?

A report claims that Matija Nastasic is the player that Arsene Wenger wants to replace rumoured Manchester United target Thomas Vermaelen at Arsenal.

Arsenal will reportedly move for Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic should Thomas Vermaelen leave the club this summer.

Belgium international Vermaelen is believed to want to depart the Emirates Stadium, with Manchester United thought to be keen on his signature.

Should that deal go through, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has identified City's Nastasic as the ideal replacement for his club captain, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that City may be open to the prospect of parting with their 21-year-old centre-back, with Eliaquim Mangala expected to arrive from Porto in the near future.
