Arsenal reportedly face competition from Newcastle United for the signature of Olympiacos defender Pape Abou Cisse.
The 26-year-old has established himself as a regular for the Greek giants and has caught the eye with his contributions in the final third, scoring four times in 15 top-flight appearances this term.
Cisse's form earned him a call-up for the Africa Cup of Nations, where he helped Senegal keep two clean sheets in succession against Zimbabwe and Guinea from the first whistle.
The centre-back's form has supposedly attracted the attention of Arsenal, but according to The Sun, Newcastle are also firmly in the race for his services.
The report adds that Newcastle have already held talks with Cisse's agent with a view to a deal this month, and a fee of £12m could be accepted by Olympiacos.
Cisse is under contract with Olympiacos until 2024, and the 6ft 6in defender has registered 15 goals in 119 appearances for the club since 2017.
