Report: Arsenal still want Virgil van Dijk

A report claims that Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk is still a transfer target for Arsenal.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will reportedly re-ignite his interest in Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Gunners were strongly linked with a move for the centre-back in the summer window, but failed to agree a price with the Scottish champions.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Premier League side are still interested in the 23-year-old and will make an official offer at the start of 2015.

Convincing Van Dijk to depart Celtic is not expected to be an issue for the capital outfit.
