Report: Winston Reid to reject Arsenal approach in favour of move to Liverpool

West Ham United defender Winston Reid is confident of completing a £15m move to Liverpool in January, a report claims, and will ignore interest from Arsenal to do so.

Winston Reid is reportedly confident of completing a switch to Liverpool in January, having rejected an approach from Arsenal.

The West Ham United defender, who made the move to Upton Park from Danish side Midtjylland four years ago, emerged as a surprise transfer target for the Reds earlier this week.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also said to be a huge fan of Reid, but The Metro claims that the New Zealand international would prefer a move to Anfield.

The report also states that the centre-back will set Liverpool back around £15m, having become an integral player for the Hammers.

Reid has made eight appearances for West Ham so far this season.
