Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling would prefer to join Arsenal over Barcelona if given the choice, according to a report.
The England international has grown frustrated by a lack of playing time at City this season and recently suggested he is open to a transfer.
Barca have been credited with an interest in Sterling, who has 18 months to run on his contract, but Transfer Market Web claims Arsenal are the frontrunners to land the 26-year-old.
Sterling, who previously spent four seasons with Liverpool, is said to be open to working under former City assistant manager Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
However, the Gunners would still have to match the Citizens' valuation, which is said to be in the region of £40m.
