Sampdoria reportedly bid £7.5m for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is currently recovering from injury.

Sampdoria have reportedly offered Arsenal £7.5m for midfielder Jack Wilshere.

The England international's career has stuttered over recent seasons due to long-term injury woes, but he had a sustained period of play while on loan at Bournemouth.

During the 2016-17 campaign, the 25-year-old started 22 Premier League games, but his spell at the Vitality Stadium came to a disappointing end when he fractured a bone in his leg.

Despite Wilshere's injury record, Sampdoria are keen to take him on and have offered the Gunners £6m up front, with £1.5m in add-ons, according to the Daily Mail.

The midfielder has made 159 appearances for Arsenal since breaking through the academy in the 2008-09 season.
