Kasper Schmeichel plays down Arsenal link

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel says that reports linking him with Arsenal are wide of the mark.

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has said that he is not thinking about a move to Arsenal.

The Denmark international has been linked with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners searching for a new stopper.

However, Schmeichel says that his current club is his sole focus.

"I've played for four seasons in Leicester, and they are happy with me, and we have a good working relationship," the 28-year-old told The Express.

"This is where I see my immediate future. A club transfer isn't in my thinking. I am in a club where there are good coaches and owners, and it's great."

Schmeichel joined Leicester from Leeds United in 2011.
