Simon Mignolet "happy" at Sunderland

Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet insists that he is happy at the Stadium of Light, despite speculation linking him with a possible move to Arsenal.

Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has insisted that he is happy at the Stadium of Light.

The Belgian international is reportedly a £5m target for Arsenal, however he is keen to ignore speculation and focus on his future with the Black Cats.

He told Sporza: "I am trying to avoid all the rumours at the minute. We will see what happens at the end of the road, but at the moment, I am happy with things.

"I am only 24, so the most important thing for me is to continue playing in the Sunderland first team and gain more experience, which is possible here."

Mignolet has kept seven clean sheets in 20 Premier League appearances this season.
