Carlos Vela 'unlikely to rejoin Arsenal'

Arsenal are said to have no interest in exercising their buy-back clause on Carlos Vela.

Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela is unlikely to rejoin Arsenal despite the Premier League club's £3.5m buy-back clause, according to a report.

The Gunners would even sell the Mexican striker on in the unlikely event of him returning to the Emirates Stadium, The Mirror claims.

Sociedad chairman Jokin Apperibay previously insisted that Vela has no desire to return to Arsenal, and is keen to keep him in La Liga, where he scored 16 goals last season.

Vela, who joined Arsenal in 2005, will play no part in this summer's World Cup after ruling himself out of the Mexico squad back in February.
