Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that Thierry Henry could return to the club for a third time in January.
Wenger confirmed that Henry has trained with the Gunners three times in recent days and he could come back to provide cover for Gervinho, who will leave for the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
Henry was at the Emirates on Saturday to watch Arsenal beat bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur 5-2 and Wenger believes that he can tempt the French striker into a second short loan spell in north London.
He told The Mirror: "He has been practising with us, three times. Will I sign him again in January? I don't know, I don't rule it out.
"I don't know if he would be interested.
"This year we will lose Gervinho to the Africa Cup of Nations again, so we will be short, particularly if Marouane Chamakh goes too."
Henry is the club's all-time record scorer with 228 goals.
