Aaron Ramsey left out of Wales squad for 2018 World Cup qualifier

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is left out of Wales's squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Moldova.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has not been included in Wales's squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Moldova next month.

The 25-year-old suffered a hamstring injury during the Gunners' 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on the opening weekend of the new season.

As a result, Ramsey has been left out of the squad named by manager Chris Coleman, who is also without Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams due to injury.

There are recalls for Emyr Huws, Tom Lawrence and Paul Dummett, who all missed out on their nation's Euro 2016 campaign, which ended at the semi-finals.

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is named among the 23-man squad for the qualifier due to be held at Cardiff City Stadium on September 5.
