Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is reportedly set to be sidelined for another three weeks after struggling with his recovery from a shin injury.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is reportedly set to be sidelined for another three weeks until the end of May due to a shin injury.

The England international last featured for Dean Smith's side in a 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on February 13.

Grealish was expected to make a return at Villa Park last Sunday against Fulham, but has struggled with his recovery.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that Grealish's setback is more serious than first feared, but that the 25-year-old is still confident he will be ready to challenge for a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2020.

The Villa academy product missed out on the three World Cup qualifiers in March after making his England debut in September against Denmark.

Grealish has scored 32 goals and registered 43 assists in 209 appearances for Villa, and has stuck by his boyhood club despite speculation of a big-money move away from Villa Park.
