Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has claimed that Fabian Delph can grow into a "top player" if he continues to improve.
The midfielder scored Villa's winning goal on Saturday as they earned a surprise 1-0 victory at home to Chelsea in the Premier League.
Lambert has now urged Delph to remain grounded and carry on the kind of form that he has shown this season.
"He's been excellent over the course of the 18 months I've been here," the Scot told the Birmingham Mail.
"What sort of player can he develop into? You've seen what he's got, there's massive potential there to be a really top player and if he keeps his feet on the ground, keeps learning, keeps doing what he's doing then we'll see where he goes."
Saturday's win saw Villa climb up to 10th place in the Premier League table.
