Paul Lambert: "Pressure is off" Aston Villa against Chelsea

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert claims that the "pressure is off" his side as they entertain Chelsea in the Premier League this evening.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert believes that the "pressure is off" his side when they entertain Chelsea this evening.

The Premier League leaders head to Villa Park looking to extend their advantage at the top to nine points.

He told Sky Sports News: "I don't think my team need motivating for games like this. Everyone expects Chelsea to win so the pressure is off us in a way.

"We're going to try to win the game although no one expects us to and if we can stay in the game then we have a chance.

"Our home form hasn't been great but we can take confidence from the [4-1 win against Norwich City]. Our away form has been excellent but we can crack on from that Norwich game, albeit against a different calibre of side."
