Paul Lambert slams Ramires for 'leg-breaking challenge' on Karim El Ahmadi

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert blasts Chelsea midfielder Ramires for his "leg breaker" of a challenge on Karim El Ahmadi

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has blasted Chelsea midfielder Ramires for his challenge on Karim El Ahmadi during the sides' Premier League match at Villa Park.

The Brazilian international was shown a straight red in the dying minutes following the tackle, while Willian was also dismissed for the Blues having picked up two yellow cards.

"Ramires was a shocker. That was a leg breaker. If anyone says different, I disagree," Lambert is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "The first red card is a little tug, the second one is a no-brainer."

The victory lifts Villa into 10th place in the table.
