Jack Grealish: 'I'm certain we will avoid relegation'

Jack Grealish insists that he is 100% certain that Aston Villa will avoid relegation this season.

Jack Grealish has claimed that he is certain Aston Villa will win the battle to stay in the Premier League this season.

A dramatic 3-3 draw with Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday moved Villa three points clear of the relegation zone, and Grealish believes that the impact Tim Sherwood is having on the likes of Christian Benteke will be vital in the closing stages of the campaign.

"We are going to go into Saturday's game to be positive and I'm 100% we will stay up," the 19-year-old is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "When you have Christian in the team, you can score goals every game.

"Tim Sherwood gives every player a huge boost of confidence and you could see that with players like Christian and even myself. The positivity around the training ground is brilliant for the gaffer and brilliant for us. It really helps on matchday."

Villa face Sherwood's former club Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
