Richard Dunne calls upon the Aston Villa supporters to get behind the team in their two remaining Premier League fixtures.

Richard Dunne has urged Aston Villa's supporters to get behind the team during their two remaining Premier League fixtures.

Villa, who face Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow afternoon, are currently just above the relegation zone.

A section of the club's fan showed their displeasure at manager Alex McLeish's work yesterday by placing an advert in a local newspaper.

However, Dunne believes that the Villains will have a greater chance of securing their Premier League status if everybody is pulling in the same direction.

"The fans want success and it's very difficult for everybody to understand why we're down there," Dunne told the Birmingham Mail. "The situation has evolved over the season, which has caused the problems, and we need the fans.

"Everybody understands the frustrations, they're not happy with us as players and the management and the club as a whole.

"But we need the supporters because they want to watch Premier League football next season. The best thing they can do is support us and whatever happens, happens after that."

Villa travel to Norwich City for their final match of the season next Sunday.
