Tim Sherwood: 'Aston Villa are buoyant'

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood says that the team have been transformed after back-to-back victories over West Bromwich Albion.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has stated that the mood in the camp has been transformed following back-to-back victories over West Bromwich Albion.

Villa defeated their Midlands rivals last Tuesday to move out of the Premier League's relegation zone, before beating them again on Saturday evening to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

Ahead of facing Sunderland this weekend, Sherwood says that another victory would increase the pressure on the sides above and below Villa in the table.

"We are buoyant now going into the Sunderland game," he told The Express.

"We will go to win wherever we go to play. We want to drag people in who are above us and make sure they get some squeaky bum time."

Sherwood was appointed Villa boss last month.
