Two senior Manchester United players are allegedly made available for transfer as Ruben Amorim continues to plot an Old Trafford rebuild in 2025.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has allegedly made a further two senior players available for transfer.

The Portuguese suffered his fourth defeat in nine matches in charge on Sunday afternoon as United succumbed to a 3-0 reverse at the hands of Bournemouth.

Although the Red Devils remain just six points adrift of fifth position, they currently occupy 13th position in the Premier League table.

Despite there being two matches remaining before the turn of the year, Amorim and the club's recruitment team are already planning changes during the January window.

Marcus Rashford's future remains a hot topic for debate with the long-serving attacking having again been left out of the squad for the Cherries fixture.

Two more added to transfer list?

While Amorim is yet to suggest that Rashford features on a list of players who could leave the Theatre of Dreams in January, it appears that there is more certainty over two other squad members.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, offers will be invited for the likes of Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen over the coming weeks.

Lindelof is yet to make a single Premier League start all season, while Eriksen has not featured in a top-flight XI since Amorim's opening encounter at Ipswich Town on November 24.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Romano said: "[Christian] Eriksen and [Victor] Lindelof are available for January market, but at the moment there's still nothing concrete. For sure both are players who could be available in January."

United are in a position where they need to facilitate exits from their squad if they want to add players courtesy of their position with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Two inevitable departures?

Injury has halted Lindelof's progress this season, yet there is an argument that he remains a more reliable option than some of his fellow defenders.

The Sweden international completed the 90 minutes when a clean sheet was kept against PAOK in the Europa League in November, while just one of the four goals that United conceded - due to a goalkeeping mistake - against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup last week occurred while Lindelof was on the pitch.

However, with just over six months remaining on his contract, the decision has seemingly been taken to try to get the 30-year-old wages off their outgoings.

Eriksen finds himself facing the same scenario, with four successive unused substitute appearances in Premier League fixtures emphasising that he does not feature in Amorim's plans.
