Roberto Di Matteo is reportedly facing the sack after Aston Villa's lacklustre start to life in the Championship.
The Midlands side, who were relegated from the Premier League in May, have just one league victory so far this term and have drawn six of their last seven matches to leave them 17th in the table.
According to The Mirror, new Villa owner Dr Tony Xia is less than impressed with the club's early form and is contemplating making a managerial change just nine games into the campaign.
Xia spent more than £50m on new players over the summer, including the likes of Ross McCormack, Ritchie De Laet, Mile Jedinak and Albert Adomah.
Villa will attempt to get their season back on track when they travel to surprise contenders Barnsley on Tuesday night.
