Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Aston Villa.
Since moving to Scotland in June 2016, Lewis has played a leading role in Aberdeen now being regarded as the second-best team in Scotland, with 63 appearances being made during that time.
However, the 30-year-old's performances have seemingly attracted admirers south of the border, and according to the Birmingham Mail, Villa have shown an interest.
The West Midlands outfit allegedly sent scouts to watch Lewis in action on Saturday as Aberdeen ran out 1-0 winners against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.
Lewis has already represented over half-a-dozen clubs in England, with the goalkeeper's most notable spells coming at Peterborough United and Blackpool.
