Lee Wallace is targeted by compatriot Alex McLeish as a possible replacement for Stephen Warnock.

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish hopes to complete a £2.5m deal for Scotland left-back Lee Wallace in the summer, according to The Mirror.

The 24-year-old was a £1.5m signing for Rangers in July, but the Glaswegians could decide sell the player to help ease their financial woes.

Wallace, who has been capped five times by his country, is six years the junior of current first-choice left-back Stephen Warnock.
