Only weeks after last season's winners were crowned in Istanbul, the 2023-24 Champions League kicks off its preliminary round of qualifying on Tuesday, when Atletic Club d'Escaldes meet Buducnost Podgorica.

Champions of Andorra and Montenegro respectively, the clubs will take part in a four-team playoff, hosted at Kopavogsvollur Stadium in Iceland.

We say: Atletic Club d'Escaldes 0-3 Buducnost Podgorica

As Buducnost boast more experience in Europe and are regular fixtures in UEFA competitions, they can cruise through to the final of the Champions League preliminary playoffs. Atletic are surely bound for the Conference League qualifiers.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Tre Penne vs. Breidablik (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Less than a month after last season's winners were crowned, the 2023-24 Champions League begins with its preliminary playoffs on Tuesday, when Tre Penne meet Breidablik.

Champions of San Marino and Iceland respectively, the clubs will take part in a four-team tournament, hosted at Breidablik's Kopavogsvollur Stadium.

We say: Tre Penne 1-4 Breidablik

Although Breidablik's recent results have not matched their form when winning the 2022 domestic title, their greater depth of experience will come to the fore on Tuesday. Tre Penne are routinely swept aside on the European stage and will have to make do with a place in the Conference League qualifiers on this occasion.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
