Atletico Madrid scored five second-half goals to overcome Swedish side Malmo in the Champions League this evening.

Koke, Mario Mandzukic, Antoine Griezmann, Diego Godin and Alessio Cerci were all on the scoresheet during what was an impressive performance from the Spanish champions.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how each individual player performed during the Group A clash in Madrid.

ATLETICO

Goal

Miguel Moya: Was forced into making a couple of smart saves, while his distribution was strong. Continues to impress in the Atletico goal after joining from Getafe in the summer. (7/10)

Defence

Juanfran: Heavily involved in the final third as Atletico scored some excellent second-half goals. Malmo just could not deal with his threat down the right and ability on the ball. (8/10)

Diego Godin: Continued his strong run of form with a dominant performance at the heart of the back four. Also got his name on the scoresheet with a towering header late on. (8/10)

Miranda: Did not have too much to worry about defensively, but was his usual calm and composed self in possession. Appears to have recovered from his disappointing showing at Valencia before the international break. (7/10)

Guilherme Siqueira: Brought into the XI in place of Cristian Ansaldi and put on a decent showing at left-back. Wasn't as involved as Juanfran on the opposite flank, but still put on a good display. (7/10)

Midfield

Antoine Griezmann: Should have scored in the first period, but smashed the crossbar from close range. Eventually got his goal in the second period, albeit with a touch of good fortune. (7/10)

Mario Suarez: Will have been disappointed not to have got on the scoresheet after having two or three strong opportunities, but his overall midfield display was of a high level. (7/10)

Koke: Absolutely ran the show at the Calderon. Scored his side's first with a brilliant finish, before registering three assists. An all-round excellent performance from the Spaniard. (9/10)

Saul Niguez: Was slightly overshadowed by those around him, but justified Diego Simeone's confidence with another solid attacking display for the Spanish champions. (7/10)

Arda Turan: Was embraced by Simeone after departing in the second period and it was easy to see why. Set up Koke for his side's third and radiated class each time he had possession of the ball. (8/10)

Attack

Mario Mandzukic: Offered his side a strong outlet in the final third, before eventually getting his goal in the second period. Looks to be growing as an Atletico player with each passing match. (7/10)

Substitutes

Raul Garcia: Replaced Turan with 20 minutes remaining and caused a threat with his physicality in the final third. Always a reliable performer whenever he takes to the field. (6/10)

Cristian Rodriguez: Atletico's resident substitute entered after 72 minutes and had some decent moments without ever really threatening to open his goal-scoring account for the season. (6/10)

Alessio Cerci: Looked a threat from the moment he entered and got his Atletico career up and running with his side's fifth late on. Will now look to kick on in the next couple of weeks. (7/10)

MALMO

Goal

Robin Olsen: Was not really helped by some slack defending, but might have done a little more with at least two of the goals. Certainly should have done better with the strike from Griezmann. (5/10)

Defence

Anton Tinnerholm: Struggled to have an influence in an attacking sense, while he also found it difficult to deal with the movement from the Atletico attack. (5/10)

Filip Helander: Coped well with the aerial threat from Mandzukic, but was ultimately part of a defence that crumbled in the early stages of the second period and again late on. (5/10)

Markus Halsti: Arguably his side's best defender on the night. Made a number of blocks in the second period, but needed a little bit more from those around him. (6/10)

Erik Johansson: Was one of two Malmo players to pick up a booking, which made him uneasy going into challenges late on. Struggled to deal with the intensity from the home side. (5/10)

Ricardinho: Did his best to influence the match in the Atletico half and had some bright moments in the final third. Can be pretty pleased with his display on a personal level. (6/10)

Midfield

Magnus Eriksson: Has a decent goal record for Malmo, but struggled to make his mark this evening. Could not match the quality from the home side. (5/10)

Enoch Kofi Adu: Did his best to contain the Atletico midfield, but struggled to deal with their quick movement and passing. Had some bright moments, but nothing much to shout about. (6/10)

Emil Forsberg: Was the first player to be substituted after Malmo fell 3-0 behind. Showed some nice touches in the first period, but hardly featured in the early stages of the second. (5/10)

Attack

Marcus Rosenberg: Only major contribution came in the second period when he was booked for simulation. Not a night that the experienced forward will remember fondly. (5/10)

Isaac Kiese Thelin Had the game's first chance after just two minutes, but fired his effort straight at Moya. Looked a threat, but faded in the second period after a bright first half. (6/10)

Substitutes

Simon Kroon: Replaced Kroon early in the second half, but found it difficult to come into a team that had just conceded twice in two minutes. (5/10)

Simon Thern: Hardly had a touch late on after entering with 87 minutes on the clock. Was not given anywhere near enough time to show his worth. (5/10)

Pa Konate: Entered in second-half stoppage time and therefore had little time to make his mark. (5/10)
