Valencia will take on AZ Alkmaar in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, while Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid go up against German sides.

Spanish outfit Valencia will have to go up against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for a spot in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

The tournament favourites, who won the trophy in 2004, will have to travel to the Netherlands for the first leg of the quarter-finals, leaving the Dutch side with a tough task of getting a result at the Mestalla.

La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao, who knocked Manchester United out of the competition, will go head to head with Schalke, while Atletico Madrid face Hannover.

Sporting Lisbon managed to oust Manchester City from the tournament and now they face the job of overcoming Ukrainian side Metalist.

The quarter-final first legs will take place on April 29, with the return fixtures due to be held on April 5.
