Half-Time Report: No goals between Atletico Madrid, Elche

Atletico Madrid remain level with Elche following a goalless first half in their La Liga match.

Atletico Madrid and Elche have headed into half time level following a goalless first half in their La Liga clash at Vicente Calderon this evening.

Diego Costa had a couple of chances to give the home side the lead inside the opening 10 minutes, but he turned his first into the side-netting before seeing a volley stopped by Manu Herrera.

Koke tried to set the striker up again later on, but his finish was blocked before Herrera was on hand to deny Gabi from the rebound.

The visitors found their way into the match after 25 minutes and had several chances to open the scoring, but Thibaut Courtois saved efforts from Javi Marquez and Cristian Sapunaru.

Atletico began to dominate again towards the end of the opening 45 minutes, but half-chances for Koke and Adrian failed to trouble Herrera.
