Miguel Moya: 'Start to season has been positive'

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Miguel Moya says that his side have made 'a positive start to the season'.

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Miguel Moya has said that the Spanish champions are pleased with their start to the new season.

As it stands, Atletico sit fifth in La Liga, five points behind leaders Barcelona after seven matches.

However, Moya has said that Sevilla, Valencia and Athletic Bilbao are their direct opponents this season, rather than Barca and Real Madrid.

"The balance is that the start to the season has been positive. Our opponents are Sevilla, Valencia and Athletic Bilbao," he told AS.

"As for the other two [Real Madrid and Barcelona], if we can be close to them, then that's for the better. Currently Valencia and Sevilla are ahead of us. It's early though.

"Our position isn't bad but we want to be better. I don't want to look beyond the next game, against Espanyol, though. That's our next mission."

Atletico have won four, drawn two and lost once in the league this season.
