Fernando Torres: 'Atletico Madrid still believe'

Atletico Madrid 'still believe' that they can win the La Liga title this season, according to Spanish striker Fernando Torres.

Fernando Torres has insisted that Atletico Madrid 'still believe' that they can win the La Liga title this season.

Despite a resurgence from Real Madrid in recent weeks, Atletico remain the closest challengers to Barcelona in La Liga and with four games left, only trail the Spanish champions on the head-to-head record.

Wednesday's 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao was Atletico's fourth straight league success, and Torres has claimed that his team will continue to fight for the title in the final weeks of the campaign.

"We continue to believe. The best way is to win and see what happens in the next few days. We've played the game we expected and we knew we were going to be pushed back," Torres told AS.

Torres, 32, who is currently on loan at Atletico from AC Milan, has scored in his last five games in all competitions.
