Newly-crowned La Liga champions Barcelona come from behind to earn a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

Newly-crowned La Liga champions Barcelona have come from behind to beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

Following a goalless first half, the hosts took the lead in the 51st minute when Radamel Falcao pounced in the area to poke the ball past Jose Pinto.

However, Barca drew themselves level in the 72nd minute as Alexis Sanchez exchanged passes with Cesc Fabregas before firing in from 10 yards.

The turnaround was complete with 10 minutes to play when David Villa's shot found the net thanks to a big deflection off Atletico defender Gabi.

That goal saw Barca break their own La Liga record by scoring in 27 consecutive away matches.
