Racing Club president Victor Blanco has blasted Atletico Madrid for giving highly-rated forward Lautaro Martinez a medical examination without their permission.
Martinez, 20, has been strongly linked with a move to Atletico in recent months, with the Argentine scoring 12 times in 41 appearances for Racing since breaking into the first team.
According to Blanco, Atletico, despite not having a bid accepted, have already examined the youngster.
"Lautaro came from an operation on his foot and what [Atletico] did was an X-ray or examination of how he had been in the operation," Blanco told reporters.
"It was nothing more than that, but it was not good to do it either. It was bad for the people of Atletico to do it, because he should have at least asked us for permission, which we would have given him."
Martinez has managed three goals in five league appearances for Racing this season.
