Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly monitoring the progress of Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino.
The 22-year-old, whose current deal expires in 2015, is believed to be valued in the region of £10m by his club, who signed him from Figueirense in 2010.
According to AS, Atletico sent representatives to watch the Brazilian against Bayern Munich at the beginning of month, with favourable reports returned.
Lokomotiv Moscow have been strongly linked with the striker in recent months, but Simeone is expected to make a firm offer when the winter window opens.
