Reports suggest that Atletico Madrid will try to lure Christian Benteke to the Vicente Calderon as a replacement for Radamel Falcao.

Atletico Madrid are believed to be considering a move for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, with Radamel Falcao likely to leave the club this summer.

The Colombian striker looks to be heading to either Chelsea or Monaco, with reports suggesting that Los Rojiblancos could net around £50m from his sale.

According to Spanish paper AS, Los Rojiblancos will reinvest some of that money in Benteke.

The Belgian international has a host of admirers following a strong first season in England, in which he found the net 23 times in 39 appearances for the Villans.

The 22-year-old arrived at Villa Park for £7m from Genk last summer.
