Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly sign Jonny Castro on a season-long loan deal once the full-back has left Celta Vigo for Atletico Madrid.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly agreed to sign full-back Jonny Castro on a season-long loan deal.

Jonny is currently contracted to Spanish side Celta Vigo, but Atletico Madrid are expected to sign the 24-year-old for a fee in the region of €11m (£9.8m).

Atletico see Jonny - who can play on both sides of the defence - as one for the future, and according to the Express & Star, that will result in the player spending the next campaign at Molineux.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been looking to find competition for Matt Doherty and Barry Douglas at wing-back, and Jonny is regarded as a strong option on either side with Wolves currently preparing for their return to the Premier League.

Jonny - who won 18 caps for Spain Under-21s - came through the youth ranks at Celta and has made 218 appearances in the first team.
