Augsburg sign Hong Jeong-Ho

Augsburg sign South Korean international Hong Jeong-Ho from Jeju United on a four-year contact.

Augsburg have completed the signing of South Korean international Hong Jeong-Ho on a four-year contact.

The 24-year-old, who is primarily a central defender, has joined the Bundesliga outfit from K-League team Jeju United, where he spent four seasons.

"We are delighted to have signed Jeong-Ho Hong," Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter told the club's official website.

"He will be strengthening our backline. Despite his young age he is an experienced international.

"For us it is great to end our search for a new central defender with his signature."

Hong made his international debut in 2010.
