Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Ferencvaros

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League showdown with Ferencvaros on Wednesday evening.

Barcelona will be looking to maintain their 100% record in the Champions League when they travel to the Puscas Arena to take on Ferencvaros on Wednesday evening.

Ronald Koeman's men have safely secured their passage into the last 16 alongside Juventus, and Barca stormed to a 5-1 win over Ferencvaros when the teams last met in October.

The Catalan giants head into this encounter following a 4-0 trouncing of Osasuna in La Liga, with Martin Braithwaite, Antoine Griezmann, Philippe Coutinho and Lionel Messi all finding the back of the net.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's clash with Ferencvaros.

Clement Lenglet

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 2 (vs. Ferencvaros)

Koeman's injury woes in defence were worsened in the win over Osasuna with Clement Lenglet being forced off in the second 45 with an ankle problem. However, the Frenchman has been included in the squad to face Ferencvaros, but it would still be a shock to see Lenglet line up on Wednesday.

Samuel Umtiti

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Lenglet's international teammate Samuel Umtiti is still waiting for his first taste of action this season due to a knee injury. The centre-back has now returned to training but it remains to be seen when he will be back in the fold for the Blaugrana.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

As is the case with Umtiti, Ronald Araujo is closing in on a comeback after making his return to the training pitches, but the defender is not expected to lessen Koeman's crisis at centre-back just yet.

Gerard Pique

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Barcelona's fourth injury concern in the heart of defence is Gerard Pique, who suffered a knee injury in their defeat to Atletico Madrid two weekends ago, and the Spain international is expected to be out of action until April.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Teenage protege Ansu Fati, who enjoyed a prolific start to the season in Barcelona colours, will not be available for the next few months after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.

Sergi Roberto

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Sergi Roberto sustained a serious thigh injury in the November defeat to Atletico, and Barcelona have confirmed that the versatile Spaniard will remain on the treatment table for approximately two months.

Barcelona have no players suspended for Wednesday's Champions League game.
