Carlo Ancelotti admits that Thiago Motta could miss the Barcelona Champions League quarter-final but is not focusing on the game just yet.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that midfielder Thiago Motta is unlikely to be fit to face his former side Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final.

Ancelotti said, however, that he was currently focused on the league clash with Montpellier and not facing Barcelona.

"He's injured his abductor muscle," Ancelotti told reporters. "He's having an unlucky year. I hope it isn't serious.

"I understand that everybody is excited about this game, but for me, right now, it's Montpellier, then Barcelona and then Rennes, in that order. Every game is important. I haven't yet thought about [Barcelona]."

Ancelotti said recently that he hopes David Beckham can stay at the club next season.
