Cristian Tello 'hoping for opportunities'

Barcelona winger Cristian Tello vows to continue working hard after returning from injury.

Barcelona winger Cristian Tello has vowed to continue working hard as he attempts to win a regular spot in the first XI this season.

The 22-year-old has struggled with injury in the last month or so, but started in Barca's 3-0 win over Cartagena in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday evening.

"I am only thinking about working every day and I hope for the opportunities to come from the coach," Tello told Barca TV.

"I am back to 100% fitness and very happy to have played. I felt comfortable after the injury. We played a very intense match. Cartagena were very solid at the back and we found it hard going.

"Getafe at the weekend? They are a side that make it very difficult for you at their ground and on Sunday we're going to have a tough match."

Tello had recently admitted that he could be forced to leave the Spanish champions in search of first-team football.
