Barcelona striker David Villa has been taken to a hospital in the city with kidney stones.

It has been reported that the Spanish international had complained of feeling unwell following yesterday's 6-1 win over Getafe.

As a result, he was taken to the medical facility, where he will undergo treatment over the coming hours.

It is believed that Villa will now miss Barca's La Liga clash against Granada on Saturday.
