Luis Enrique counting on Neymar and Pedro

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique says that he hopes both Neymar and Pedro will recover from injury to play in their La Liga opener against Elche.

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has said that he hopes to have both Neymar and Pedro available for their La Liga opener with Elche on Sunday.

Pedro has been struggling with a bout of gastroenteritis, while Brazilian World Cup star Neymar picked up a sprain in his left ankle during training this week.

Enrique told reporters: "We'll see tomorrow whether or not Neymar can play. And we'll also be assessing the situation with Pedro. But in principle I'm counting on them both."

Barcelona missed out on the La Liga title last term, coming second to Atletico Madrid.
